The artist, born in the year 1981 in Bartın, has completed his undergraduate study in Anadolu University, and has earned his Master's Degree in Graphic Design Art Major from Haliç University Institute of Social Sciences. Realizing the errors in perception of calligraphy in his country, the artist has worked with world's leading calligraphy artists and has shared these experiences on fine arts platforms. He has mentioned at every chance that calligraphy is not merely made of letters, and that the relationship between form and figure exists in the calligraphy; he has been called "Painter of Lettering" owing to this understanding. Being a member of The International Association of Master Penman Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting, he has a calligraphy diplomafrom the England-based The Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society (CLAS). He has participated in many international personal and group exhibitions and still continues to work as the painter of letteringat his own workshop in Balat, one of the historic districts in Istanbul.
