Mustafa Eren

He was born in 1944 in Denizli. He completed his undergraduate education in 1972 in Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts.

Between 1974 - 1983 he was the Art of Istanbul Festival, IKSV. He also worked as an Art Director at Milliyet Sanat, Nokta Erkekçe / Kadınca magazines, Learusse encyclopedia and Motif Agency.

He independently conducted more than 50 fonts, 100 unique calligraphy and calligraphy works. He worked on the design works of many valuable books including  “Bay Sinema”, edited by Giovanni Scognamillo, in Tophane Lüleciliği“ by Ceramic Artist Erdinç Bakla and ”Hilyeler“ by Calligrapher Hüseyin Gündüz and Faruk Taşkale.

He was listed in ‘Top 100 Graphic Designers and Illustrators of Istanbul’ by Istanbul Municipality. He developed logos for many valuable institutions such as Balparmak, Ray Sigorta and Turkey Hoteliers Association.

In 1970, he was awarded the first prize of the Turkish Trade Bank, the Emblem Competition; the second prize of Manajans Award in 1971, the Press Announcements in Graphic Designers' Association Award in 1975, the Letraset International Award in 1982 and the United States Letter Press Award in 1986.

He opened various exhibitions in Leonardo Art Gallery, Oda Art Gallery, Bodrum Dibeklihan, Buyukada Great Club, Balat Culture Center and FSM Vakif University, Fine Arts Faculty.

He participated in Yunus Emre calligraphy events in Anadolu University, Faculty of Fine Arts.

In 2020, he published a book called 'Calligraphy' containing his calligraphy works and typefaces.

Currently, in FSM Vakıf Un. Faculty of Fine Arts, he works as a lecturer in the Graphic Department.
