He was born in Malatya. He graduated as a Technician Sergeant from the Turkish Land Forces in 1986 (Narlıdere/Izmir). He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Anadolu University in 1996. Between the years 1986-2006, he served in different units and cadres of the Turkish Land Forces for 21 years. He tried to develop his calligraphy writing skills during his work in the Turkish Military Force. He retired from the Turkish Military Force in 2006. He opened the Serdar KIPDEMIR Calligraphy Center in Malatya in 2007. He worked as a Calligraphy teacher in the Malatya Public Training Center. He started working as a Calligraphy teacher in Youth Park Culture Center in 2011. He earned the Certificates of Angled Uncial, Foundational Hand, Roman Capitals, Gothic Black Letter and Copperplate from the Calligraphy and Art Society during 2014-2016. He holds a master’s degree from Istanbul Arel University, Graduate School of Social Sciences, Department of Graphical Design and Completed his PhD in Graphic Design (SY) at Istanbul Arel University Graduate Education Institute on September 29, 2020. There are many international mixed and personal calligraphy exhibitions he attended. He works at Istanbul Medipol University, as Dr. Instructor and as a staff member and continues his artistic life as a calligraphy teacher in various public institutions and organizations.
